89. $100
Chauncey Jerome 8-day fusee steeple, 1845-1850. A 20-inch sharp gothic in rosewood and mahogany with two likely original glasses; the tablet has considerable losses. The original
dial has been touched up extensively, the hands are period. The 8-day brass time-and-strike, double-fusee movement is signed
Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, and is running and striking, with the cords wrapping on brass fusee drums mounted on a cast iron frame
immediately below the movement. The label has been lost and the pendulum bob is modern. $100–$200.
