Brewster & Ingrahams four post steeple, 1843-1852.  A 19-inch case with flame mahogany on the front, four side columns and four finned finials (there is slight damage to some of the fin rings).  The finish is dark but clean.  The dial glass is modern, the lower cut and frosted glass is typical but may be a replacement.  The dial is likely original, with some yellowing and evidence of some over-zealous cleaning. The hands are typical and probably original.  The 8-day time-and-strike movement has 1-inch brass springs and is signed. It is running and striking.  There is a label behind plastic listing the retailer, Jonathan Frost in Reading Mass.  AACsold a similar example in 2021 for $426.  $250–$500.
