American Clock Co. iron-front, 1850-1879. A 15.5-inch iron-front with good retention of the gilding; there is some wear in the high spots.  The glasses appear to be replacements, the paper dial is certainly a replacement from mid-twentieth century.  The hands are proper and period but have been painted. The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it is running and striking without issue.  There is a good label inside. ACC purchased clocks from Connecticut clockmakers and sold them in New York City.  $50–$100.
