45.                   $150

Waterbury Clock Co. “Bouquet”, ca. 1867.  A 16-inch iron-front cast by J & R Shephard Foundry and sold by WCC.  This was a popular design, as this model was sold by several marketers.  The colors are original and strong, although the gilding may have been refreshed. The painting of the tropical waterfront building is well retained.  The dial glass is modern, the porthole glass old; the paper dial is recent, the hands proper replacements.  The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it is running strongly and striking.  There is a dark but readable label inside indicating that this clock was sold in New York City.  $150–$250.
