Terhune & Edwards miniature scroll-front, 1859-1872.  An 11.5-inch refinished walnut case with the original glass in the door and a well-retained colored transfer.  I believe the very tip of the scroll top has been broken off.  The dial is original with some soiling and fading; the hands are appropriate but not necessarily original.  The 30-hour time-only movement is unsigned and running to beat the band; there is an alarm hooked up but untested.  There is a label behind the alarm and bell; T&E were retailers on Courtland St. in New York City.  AAC sold one last summer for $350.   $100–$250.
