John Hunt (Farmington, CT) 30-hour wooden works OG, ca. 1830-1840.  Not a prolific producer of clocks, but you can find some on LiveAuctioneers. You can find a John Hunt oversized steeple in this auction.  This OG case is 28.5 inches tall; the mahogany veneer shows some repairs, chips, and losses.  The dial glass is original; the mirror is a modern replacement with an old backboard.  The wooden dial is soiled, the hands are likely original.  The 30-hour wooden movement was probably purchased, as Hunt was considered a cabinet maker; it is running and striking, driven by two 30-hour weights.  There is a wire gong and a good label inside. Hunt also worked in Plainville.  $50–$150.
