13.                   $400

Chauncey Jerome miniature flat column shelf clock, ca. 1843.  A 20.75-inch case with rosewood veneer and flat columns, with decorative blocks at the corners.  The veneer is good with no missing pieces or repairs that I see.  Both glasses are period/original, the tablet with a frosted image in good condition.  The metal dial holds the original paint with some touch-up and soiling; the hands look original.  The brass 30-hour, weight-driven movement is signed and running, with two proper weights; there is a good label inside.  An uncommon model in excellent original condition.  Schmitt Horan sold a similar example in 2021 for $425. $400–$500.
