Marshall &
Adams two-door column & cornice, 1833-1836. A second empire-style column & cornice, here with a modern mirror replacement
in the cornice and a repainted tablet. The dial glass looks original; the wooden dial is clean with proper hands. The
30-hour wooden movement has brass bushings throughout, as specified in the label. It is running and striking. The label
is darkly toned and a bit torn up. The lower columns may be original but have been overcoated to protect from wear; the capitals
and bases have been repainted. $200–$400.
