5.                   $200

Marshall & Adams two-door column & cornice, 1833-1836.  Marshall & Adams worked in Seneca Falls NY producing several models with either wooden works or brass-strap movements.  This example contains a 30-hour wooden movement that is running and striking.  The mahogany case is 33 inches tall with an original cornice glass (with some losses), old glass over the door (but newer putty), and an old/period mirror, with newer putty holding it in place.  There are two lower carved half-columns, ivory escutcheons, and good veneer in need of cleaning/waxing.  There are some missing pieces on the side edges and base.  The wood dial is clean with good gilding and proper hands.  There is a good label inside that says they used brass bushings – I see one brass bushing, the other pivots have been rebushed.  AAC sold a similar example two years ago for $250.  $200–$400.

Looking for an easy way to save the clocks you like?

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
