George Mitchell
reeded pillar & scroll, ca. 1825. A 38-inch case with flat reeded columns, a pillar and scroll top, and a clean finish. The top is original with a very old repair to the right scroll top and right bottom, the brass urn finials are solid with cast square
post holes. The dial glass is modern, the two lower glasses original with the original tablets, the upper tablet extensively
retouched. The lower glass is cracked. The wooden dial has been cleaned and relined/renumbered. The groaner movement,
probably by Ephraim Downs, will run briefly and strike. A good label inside. Mitchell sold his clock business in 1832. Schmidt’s Antiques sold this clock in 2022 for $375. $300–$450.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?
Absolutely! Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return
it for a full refund if you are unhappy. If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident
from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well. Find another auction company that does that!
