Black Forest two-weight cuckoo, ca. 1900?  A 20-inch case with parquet inlay on the front, which for me is the main attraction.  I am not certain the carved leaf crest, drop finials, and pendulum are original – they don’t match the side and bottom carvings.  The hands are replacements.  On the positive side, the bellows have been replaced as has the cuckoo; it is running, striking, and the bird is singing, weakly, on cue.  No manufacturer information on the case or the brass movement.  This is a one-day clock.  $100–$250.
