Waterbury Clock Co. “Brockville”, ca. 1893. A second small hanging
clock in refinished oak, this one also 32.5-inches long. It has been stripped with just a light varnish; the tips of the “feet”
are slightly damaged, the top finials look correct. The door glass is old but probably not original. The dial is paper
with the Waterbury name, the hands a slight mismatch. The signed 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking
on cathedral gong. The pendulum is Waterbury issue; there is a good label on the back. A rare clock; three sales on LiveAuctioneers,
with the most recent a walnut example at Fontaine’s in 2020 for $575. No sales on the Antique Clocks Identification and Price
Guide. $250–$500.
