214. $100
Waterbury Clock Co. “Regent”, ca. 1906. A 31-inch case veneered in
rosewood with a wonderful finish. I see one small chip just above the lower door handle; there may be some repairs, its hard
to tell with rosewood. Both glasses are old, the Regulator painting on the lower glass is flaking just a bit. The 12-inch
paper dial shows some wear; it has the Waterbury logo in the middle and is labeled at the bottom. The hands are as shown in
the catalog illustration (Ly, Waterbury Clocks & Watches, page 217). The 8-day time and half-hour strike movement is signed
and running, striking on the Waterbury wire gong, regulated by a Waterbury pendulum. The interior has the original patterned
black wallpaper and there are two labels behind plastic on the back. A nice example. $100-$200.
