154.           $300

Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 4”, ca. 1885. A 32-inch solid walnut case with an old finish and plenty of patina.  I believe all three finials are original; the center finial has lost its tip.  The door glass is original with the original lettering; the dials are original with considerable flaking and soiling to both.  The hands are correct.  The 8-day time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking the hours on the large brass bell; it is marked “Made for the Southern Calendar Clock Co., St Louis MO”.  The pendulum bob is damascened with a blotchy finish, the RT Andrews calendar mechanism is advancing properly.  Good labels inside.  AAC has sold several similar examples with flaking dials over the past year for around $400.  $300–$400.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
