E.N. Welch Manufacturing Co. “Arditi”, ca. 1889.  A 27-inch walnut case with an old glossy finish.  All the trim pieces on top look original.  The door glass appears to have been replaced but is period, the dials are paper with considerable wear and discoloration.  The hands are proper and likely original. The die-stamped 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking, the calendar is advancing.  There is an instruction label inside regarding the Gale perpetual calendar and a good label on the back.  AAC has sold three in similar condition over the last three years for an average of $400.  $350–$450.
