Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 5 Emerald”, 1883.  A 32.5-inch-tall walnut case with burl walnut panels, ebony trim, and an intricately carved crest.  The finish is old and dry and greatly needs renewal, and the top center finial is a less-than-perfect replacement; Joel Warren may be able to help out there.  The time dial glass is old, the calendar dial glass is newer.  Both dials have newer paper replacements and the hands are correct.  The 8-day time-and-strike movement was made by Welch for the ICCC; it runs only briefly and will need attention.  It strikes on the hours and half-hours on a wire gong.  The weekday roller is advancing but the date hand is not and will need adjustment. This is a hard-to-find model, and with some effort this clock could be greatly improved.  ICCC key included.  Schmidt’s Antiques sold a nice example in 2019 for $1400.  $1400–$2000.
