Ansonia Clock Co. “Pompeii”, ca. 1904.  A second example of this popular model, this one with an embossed metal dial and a flat glass in an American sash.  The case was repainted with glossy black enamel and the ornaments with antique gold; the hands are replacements.  The Ansonia 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running.  Tom Harris sold a similar example (same dial) in 2020 for $200.  $175–$300.
