111.           $1000

Ansonia Clock Co. “Crystal Regulator No. 2”, ca. 1914. This example comes with a jeweled sash and pendulum, an extra $4.20 on the original list price of $40; that’s the equivalent of $1200 today, indicating that these clocks have held their value for over $100 years!  The yellow color has faded a bit, I think, but that is my only criticism.  Everything else is as originally marketed.  Don’t pass up this chance to own one of these three high-end crystal regulators.  And why not?  They’ve held their value this long, and still look great!  Schmitt Horansold this exact clock a year ago for $1200.  $1000–$1500.
