80. $150
Brewster & Ingrahams eight-day steeple, 1843–1852. A 20-inch sharp gothic case with rosewood veneer on the front (mahogany on the sides), two old glasses, and an 8-day movement with
brass springs. The cut glass/frosted tablet is period, the dial holds the original paint and hands. The signed 8-day,
ribbed time-and-strike movement will not run. There is a remote alarm hooked up and it also has the original brass springs. The dark label behind plastic is obscured by the alarm mechanism and bell; the clock strikes on the wire gong. The attraction
here is the brass springs. $150–$300.
