Silas B Terry papered miniature cottage, 1852-1853.  A simple pine clock with a ladder movement, likely made about 1852 before he formed the Terryville Manufacturing Co. in 1853.  The 10.5-inch-tall case retains the original painted paper surface and both original glasses, a painted dial and period hands.   The unsigned 30-hour ladder movement with the spring on the back is running, there is an old pendulum bob, and a very dark but readable label.  AAC sold one two years ago for $1191.  $900-$1200.
