Bartholomew 30-hour shelf clock, 1829-1833. I found a few examples of this column & cornice style of shelf clock by these
guys, but they are not common. The case is 24.5 inches tall and 15.5 inches wide with restenciled columns that look good; the
finish on the mahogany veneer is a little bit crusty. The dial glass is original, the lower glass a replacement with the tablet
done by Lee Davis. Very nice. The wood dial board is clean but faded, with the numbers strengthened; the hands are period. The 30-hour time-and-strike wooden movement is running and striking on a wire gong, with two period weights and a good label. No recent sales of this uncommon model. $150–$300.
