4.                   $300

Seth Thomas pillar & scroll, 1822-1830.  A second Seth Thomas pillar & scroll with a label that acknowledges the Terry patent, but this label does not state Terry’s name; later clocks included Terry’s name after the patent issue was resolved.  The 31-inch case has good mahogany veneer all around, both scroll tips have been repaired, and the feet look original.  The brass urn finials are on wood posts that should be screws; they are not the proper style for Seth Thomas.  The dial glass is original, the lower glass modern and repainted nicely by Jane Bolster in 1978.  It is held in place with wood strips.  The wooden dial is clean, the hands period. The 30-hour time-and-strike wood movement runs briefly and strikes.  There are two old weights and a period pendulum bob, and a dark but readable label.  $300–$500.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
