208. $150
Ansonia Clock Co. “Macbeth”, ca. 1904. A 14.5-inch cast spelter case,
15.5 inches wide. The case has been painted, with some wear. There is a two-part decorated porcelain dial with Ansonia
at the bottom, behind a flat beveled glass. The visible escapement has steel pins. The 8-day, time-and-strike signed movement
is running and striking. Fontaine’s sold a near identical example in Feb 2021 for $225, and then sold the same clock a year
later for $200, and then again last October for $175. They should have quit while they were ahead. $150-$225.
