Seth Thomas (Talley Industries) “Long Drop Octagon Chime”, ca. 1980.  A modern chiming wall clock in a 43-inch-long solid oak case.  The dial is porcelain with dials for the day, date, and month, as well as a seconds bit.  The 8-day, time, strike, and chime movement was made in Germany for Talley Industries; it is running and playing Westminster chimes on the quarter hours on 5 rods.  There is an instruction label on the back of the case with set-up instructions.  A nice sound.  Only one sale on LiveAuctioneers, at Harris in 2010 for $175.  $150-$250.
