Antique American Clocks February 2023
RG-1. $50
E. Ingraham Co. kitchen clock, ca. 1890. Ingraham must have a million models of “kitchen clocks” such as this. This one is not shown in Ly’s compendium on Ingraham Clocks
& Watches and there is no label, but the movement is stamped Ingraham. The oak case is 23.5 inches tall with an old, probably
original finish, crusty in places and losses in others. There is a working thermometer at the top (old but probably not original)
and a bubble level on the bottom. The door glass is period but may not be original. The dial is paper with proper hands. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and will run for a minute or two, having not been run in over a decade. It will
strike. A standard Ingraham pendulum. $50-$150.
