Waltham Watch Co. half-size banjo, ca. 1928.  An early miniature banjo with a size 37, 8-day movement that winds from the dial.  I have a key that will work; it is fully wound but I cannot get it to run.  The 21-inch case is in green crackle with reverse-painted glasses of George Washington and Mount Vernon; the bezel holds a convex beveled glass but will not stay closed.  The dial is painted.  AAC sold a miniature banjo like this last summer for $206.  $100-$200.
