MC-4.            $100

E.N. Welch Mfg. Co. “Sembrich”, ca. 1889.  A 36-inch walnut case with an old, alligatored, and likely original finish.  The top of the crest has been knocked off but if you didn’t know it should be there, you wouldn’t miss it.  The door glass is original, with the original putty.  The dial is a paper print or photocopy and is bowed and warped.  The hands are correct.  The 8-day, time-only movement is signed but I cannot convince it to run for more than a minute.  It will need attention.  The pendulum stick and bob are period; there is no label.  This is a project clock: it needs to be refinished and the dial repainted.  And maybe make a replacement for the missing top-knot.  $100-$200.
