Seth Thomas pillar & scroll, ca. 1830.  The 31-inch case has good mahogany veneer all around with a small repair on the crest at the right and broken tips on the bottom scroll.  The dial glass is original, the lower glass replaced and repainted (unsigned).  Yes, the brass urn finials on steel screw posts are incorrect for Seth Thomas.  A nice wooden dial with some stretch marks and fading, but good spandrels and center image. Hands are old.  The 30-hour wooden movement runs but the strike is not striking correctly; there are two old weights and a good label.  A nice example, I think.  $400-$500.
