21-111.             $50

Brewster & Ingrahams steeple, 1843-1852. A 20-inch mahogany veneer case that has never been cleaned – there is much alligatoring to the finish on the top and sides, and a couple of small chips bottom front.  Both glasses are period and possibly original, the American eagle tablet is one of the best preserved I have seen.  The dial may have been repainted long ago, the hands are likely original.  The 30-hour, time-and-strike ribbed movement, stamped Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol CT USA has an alarm dial and lever, but there is no alarm movement and never has been in this case.  The clock is running and striking as expected, and there is a good label.  A nice example for the originality and tablet.  $50-$150.
