MA-26.          $50

New Haven Clock Co. Thirty-hour steeple, ca. 1860.  A 20.5-inch-tall case with rosewood veneer on the front with some chips and losses.  Here the finials have not been decapitated and both glasses are old, again with a good lithograph tablet of Burns Monument in Ayr, Scotland in memory of the poet Robert Burns.  The original dial is flaking badly, the hands are mismatched.  The 30-hour time-and-strike movement bears the New Haven stamp and is running, striking on a wire gong.  Acceptable label inside with some losses.  If you are Scottish, have ever been to Scotland, or would like to go you should probably bid on this clock.  $50-$150.
