Ansonia Clock Co. “10-Inch Drop Octagon–Gilt”, ca. 1901.  A 22-inch-long case in walnut with rosewood veneer on the front, along with gilt trim around the glasses.  The case has next to no finish and a discoloration/stain runs the length of the left side.  Both glasses are old, the pendulum window as shown in the catalog illustration and likely original.  The 10-inch dial is paper in reasonable condition for its age, signed at the bottom and the Ansonia logo. The 8-day, time-only movement is running without hesitation; note how it was mounted at an angle to avoid interference between the pendulum crutch and the winding arbor.  The inside label is badly damaged.  $25-$100.
