MO-8.            $50

Jeromes & Co.(?) looking glass clock, ca. 1833. Just a few shreds of the label, with the name of the business ending in “Co.”, suggesting that this might have been made by Jeromes & Co. (Chauncey & Noble) as Jeromes & Darrow went out of business in 1834.  Just a guess.  A 35-inch case with dark mahogany veneer that is lifting on the right side.  The columns and splat have been repainted and restenciled.  The dial glass is original, the mirror a later replacement.  The wooden dial board is very dark, the hands correct but shortened unnecessarily.  The wooden movement is untested, there are two 30-hour weights and a pendulum bob.  $50-$100.
