Antique American Clocks January 2022
Chauncey Jerome octagon lever strike, ca. 1880. A 10.75-inch case veneered in rosewood (almost certainly new) with an 8-inch dial. The paint is original with some touch-up, well done; C JEROME across the top and a seconds bit; the hands are original, the seconds hand a replacement. The glass appears modern. The signed 8-day lever movement is running and includes a strike; there is a wire at the bottom left that you can pull to advance the strike. A nicely refurbished example. $50-$150.
