Antique American Clocks January 2022
Waterbury Clock Co. parlor clock, ca. 1880. A 21.5-inch walnut clock that is not shown in Ly’s books on Waterbury clocks. The finish is clean, but dull and dry and needs attention. The door glass is old, the Waterbury paper dial is yellowed, the hands are appropriate. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong. There is a dial-adjustable pendulum. There is no label, although there is a piece of a label on the back. This nice little shelf clock is ready for rejuvenation. $50-$100.
