Antique American Clocks January 2022
New Haven Anglo-American round drop, ca. 1890. A 27-inch walnut case with marquetry borders – and every piece is there. This is as nice an Anglo-American as I have seen. The dial is repainted, the hands correct, the dial glass is modern, the lower door glass is old but may be a replacement. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement bears the New Haven logo and is running nicely, striking on the wire gong. The only thing missing is a label, and that is not uncommon with these hybrid American-English clocks. $150-$250.
