Antique American Clocks January 2022
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Gingerbread” wall clock, 1893. A 25-inch walnut case with a clean and slightly unpolished case; the door glass may be an old replacement, the dial is old paper with the ST logo, the hands are correct. The level at the bottom is working, the thermometer at the top is missing. The ST head-and-shoulders movement is signed and running, regulated by a nickel ST pendulum bob and striking on an ST wire gong. There is a separate alarm that strikes on the steel bell, it is untested. There is a label on the inside bottom. The date of manufacture is stamped on the back. A nice example. $150-$250.
