Antique American Clocks January 2022
Wm S. Johnson miniature fusee OG, 1841-1861. An 18.25-inch OG case with mahogany veneer on the sides (but not the top) and banded mahogany or rosewood on the front. Both glasses are old, with the frosted tablet in good condition. There is a clean painted wooden dial and proper hands. The 30-hour time-and-strike fusee movement was made by Chauncey Boardman and is signed on the left fusee attachment. It is running and striking as expected. There is a good label inside. Johnson was a marketer in New York. $200-$350.
