Terry & Andrews iron-front, 1841-1850.  A second iron case with MOP (with #227) from Terry & Andrews, this one made before the formation of Ansonia Clock Co. in 1850.  The 14-inch case is a bit rougher than #227, with a crackled finish on the front and the flower colors dark; however, all the MOP is there, including the many small pieces along the edges.  Clean up might help.  The glasses are old, the painted dial likely original, the minute hand an improper replacement. The signed 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is no label, or evidence of one. $125-$200.
