F. Kroeber Clock Co.  “Regulator No. 32”, ca. 1881.  A second small Kroeber wall clock, this one 33 inches long in a light walnut finish.  The door glass is modern, the dial repapered and the center section is missing. The hands are correct, as is the bright and shiny pendulum.  The 8-day, time-and-strike signed Kroeber movement is running and striking.  There is a battered label and instruction label on the back behind plastic.  The No. 32 Regulator is a hard one to find; only one sale on LiveAuctioneers, at Schmidt’s Antiques last spring for $700; no sales on Antique Clocks Price Guide. $450-$700.
