183.     $750

Forestville Hardware & Clock Co. sub-miniature steeple, 1853-1855.  A very rare clock from a short-lived company presided over by J.C. Brown.  The walnut and rosewood case is 12.5 inches tall with two original glasses, an original painted metal dial with some touch-up, and proper period hands.  The dial shows age cracks and staining, the frosted tablet shows some wear.  The 30-hour time-only, pinned movement is unsigned and running fabulously.  The label is in outstanding condition.  Only two sales records on LiveAuctioneers, for $750 and $850 in 2015 and 2014, respectively; AAC sold one without finials last summer for $1000.  $750-$1000.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
