169.    $250

Waterbury Clock Co. “Alton”, ca. 1906.  A second example of this uncommon clock, this one in oak with a thick, dark finish.  All the finials and applied carvings are present, the door glass is period, the old paper dial is signed.  Fancy Waterbury hands and a signed, 8-day, time-and-strike movement that is running and striking on a cathedral gong. A Waterbury pendulum bob, beat scale, and a label on the bottom of the case and on the back.  Everything you could want here in a clock that looks its age.  $250-$500.
