Chauncey Boardman triple fusee steeple, 1844-1850.  This is a 30-hour fusee steeple with an alarm, also on a fusee – I’m not sure why.  But there it is.  The 20-inch case is veneered in mahogany, the dial glass is old, the lower glass modern with a new tablet.  The contoured dial has been touched up, the hands are original with the alarm setting indicator on the back end of the hour hand.  The time, strike, and alarm movement is signed and running, striking an iron bell.  There is a good label.  $150-$250.
