143.     $275

Ansonia Clock Co. “Bagdad”, ca. 1904.  This is the second version of this model, differing slightly in style and length from the 1883 version.  The 50-inch case is oak with the original, and in places, thick and crusty finish. The door glass is old, the dial the original paper with the Ansonia logo and label at the bottom, the hands are correct.  The double-wind, time-only, spring-driven movement has nickel plates and is running without problem.  The pendulum stick and bob are likely original, with some wear to the bob, and there is an Ansonia beat scale at the bottom.  A good label on the back; a nice original example.  Schmitt-Horan sold a walnut version last fall for $475.  $300-$500.
