136.     $250

Self-Winding Clock Co. “No. 10” ca. 1898.  The SWCC began in 1886 and stayed in business until the 1960’s.  Initially they purchased cases and movements from established manufacturers (likely a Seth Thomas case here) and modified the movement to be battery-wound; eventually they manufactured their own movements, as found here.  The 31-inch solid oak case has been refinished nicely; the dial glass is modern, and the signed 14-inch dial may have been repainted.  The movement is signed and there are two C-size battery holders inside.  I did not test the clock.  AAC sold a very similar example last summer for $390. $250-$450.
