Ansonia Clock Co. “Music and Poetry” figural, ca. 1894.  This nicely restored double figural stands 20.5 inches tall and 23 inches wide.  It was originally available in Japanese Bronze or Silver, as found here.  Everything but the dial has been refinished, including the base.  The elaborate dial with an outside escapement shows some chips and repairs but looks good; it sits behind a thick beveled glass.   The clock is not mounted to the base; the 8-day time-and-strike movement is signed but not running and will need attention.  This is a popular figural and there are many sales on LiveAuctioneers; recent prices vary widely ($300-$500) based on condition.  $350-$900.
