56.      $3000

Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar No. 9”, 1886.  This is a beautifully ornate walnut case with a patina to die for; it stands 29.5 inches tall and everything is there – especially the wooden rings on the top mounts.  Both glasses are old, the time dial faded with chipping along the outside touched up, the calendar dial repainted.  All hands correct. The 8-day time-and-strike movement is running and striking. The calendar movement is new; the date is advancing but the weekday roller needs an adjustment.  Two labels inside.  The date is stamped on the back.  This clock sold at Schmidt’s Antiques auction in 2020 for $2500.  $3000-$4000.
