Antique American Clocks January 2022
44. $250
F.C. Andrews fusee shelf clock, 1847-1860. This is a 20.75-inch OG-style clock that is
grain-painted and holds a C. Boardman 30-hour, time-and-strike fusee movement. The movement is signed and running, striking
on an iron bell with a nice sound. The dial glass is modern, the frosted lower glass may be original, although it is placed
in the door with the frosted side out. The metal dial has been repainted, the hands are likely original. An embossed pendulum
bob and a good label from Andrew’s later period selling out of New York. This is an unusual clock and I can find no sales records
for this model. $250-$500.
Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?
Absolutely! Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return
it if you are unhappy. If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures,
I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well. Find another auction company that does that!
