Antique American Clocks January 2022
36. $250
Austrian Dachluhr timepiece, ca. 1920? Distinctive for its black enamel dial with gold
numerals and ornate gold hands, this clock is 39 inches long in polished walnut. The glasses are not old, making me think this
is a twentieth century reproduction. The 8-day, time-only, weight-driven movement is not signed or stamped, mounts on four posts
typical of Austrian clocks (keyhole mount); it may be of an earlier vintage. It is running, driven by a single brass weight. $250-$500.
