29.      $750

Ansonia “Regent”, ca. 1904.  An impressive, silvered case with extensive ornamentation and designs.  The 19.5-inch case has been refinished but you can see the original silver finish on the four finials, top-piece, and four post bases; the top piece differs slightly from the catalog illustration (Ly, Ansonia Clocks & Watches, page 399). The body of the clock case has brass plates behind the silver designs.  The dial is also silver, behind a thick beveled glass with a chip inside bottom.  The signed 8-day time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong; there are steel pallets on the outside escapement.  This clock originally came with two matching candelabra.  Carroll Horton sold this clock to the consignor in 2013 for $1007.  $750-$1000.
