Antique American Clocks January 2022
24. $175
Chauncey Jerome column & cornice, ca. 1845. A second example of this style of clock
from Chauncey Jerome; 26 inches tall with good mahogany veneer all around. The two full columns are painted black. The
dial glass may be a replacement, the cut-glass frosted tablet is likely original and in very good condition. The wooden dial
is signed, the hands period. The 30-hour brass movement is unsigned but looks very much like a Jerome movement; it is running
and striking with two old weights. A decent label inside, a bit fly-specked. Another uncommon model. $200-$350.
